A couples massage in Amsterdam when your ship calls here for the day
Some voyages stop in Amsterdam for a single day on the way somewhere else. The city is right there at the foot of the gangway, but the cabin cannot be the address. A day room ashore can, and this page explains how to fit one into a port call.

Not every couple who sees Amsterdam from a ship begins or ends a voyage here. Many arrive in the morning on a port call, spend the day in the city and sail again by evening. For them a couples massage in Amsterdam has one obvious obstacle: the only room they hold is a cabin, and no session takes place on board. The answer is a room ashore for part of the day.
The day room
Many central hotels let a room for some hours rather than a whole night, and once you have checked in it has a number like any other. That number is the address. The note on day rooms explains how they work; on a port call it is the only way to have a private room in the city for an afternoon.
Working back from all aboard
The time that rules a port call is the all-aboard hour printed in the daily programme, usually a while before the ship actually sails. Everything has to finish before it, including the walk or taxi back to the quay. Count backwards: the return journey, a margin for traffic and bridges, the session, the forty to sixty minutes before she arrives, and check-in at the day room. What remains is the morning for sightseeing.
A realistic shape
A ship that docks early and sails late gives a comfortable day. The two of you spend the morning in the city, check in to the day room around lunchtime, write to confirm the hour, and the session runs through the early afternoon. That leaves time for a shower, a slow walk back and an unhurried boarding. A short call, docking at nine and sailing at five, leaves room for little more than an hour.
What to send, and when
Write before the voyage, or from the ship a day or two before Amsterdam, with the date, the hotel and a rough hour. Say that it is a port call and give the all-aboard time. The reply shapes the booking around that time, not the other way round. Once you have the day room key, send the room number and the hour is confirmed.
Length
Ninety minutes suits most port days. Longer is possible on a day with an evening departure, but nobody wants to run for a gangway. The page on turnaround days looks at a similar afternoon from another angle.
