Two friends, one cabin: a couples massage in Amsterdam for travelling companions
Plenty of cabins are shared by two friends rather than a couple: old school friends, sisters, colleagues who travel together every year. The word couples on this site means two guests in one room, and this page explains how two companions book the evening.

Cruise lines price their cabins for two, so a great many passengers travel with a friend rather than a partner. They share the cabin, the dinner table and the shore excursions, and on the night before sailing they share a hotel room in Amsterdam. A couples massage in Amsterdam works for them exactly as it does for any other pair of guests, with one or two points worth knowing beforehand.
Two guests, one booking
A booking for two guests in one room is a couples booking, whatever the two of you are to each other. The fee for two guests is listed in every profile on the roster, with one therapist shared or one therapist each. One of you writes for both, and both of you need to have agreed to the evening before she arrives.
One therapist each is the usual choice
Friends sharing a room tend to prefer a therapist each, so that both sessions run at the same time and neither person spends half the evening waiting. With one therapist shared, one of you rests while the other is in session, which some friends are happy with and others find awkward. Decide between the two of you before writing; the note on the two arrangements explains how each evening runs.
Privacy within the room
Two friends may want more privacy from each other than a couple does. Say so in the thread. The reply can suggest a format and an arrangement that suits two people who are comfortable sharing a room but not everything in it. A room with twin beds or a sofa bed works well for this, because each of you has your own space.
Twenty-one or over, both of you
Every guest in the room has to be twenty-one or over, and a photo document may be asked for at the door from either of you. It is read once and handed straight back. The rule is written out in full in the age statement.
The evening before or after
The same timing rules apply to friends as to partners. Before a sailing, keep the length modest and the start early. After the voyage, the first night ashore can take longer. Write with the date, the hotel, the hour and the length; once the hour is agreed she arrives forty to sixty minutes later.
